SINGING LESSONS NOTTINGHAM
Teaching professionally for over 10 years!
Private lessons, workshops, small groups and schools.
Lessons delivered in person or online. Any ability.
As a well accomplished vocalist with over 30 years of experience performing, I have been involved in many exciting projects. Having had the pleasure of touring most of the world with some of the UK's top pop artists, over 100 television appearances and performing in the West End, I now aim to use my wealth of experience to inspire others.
My aim is to share my skills, experience and artistry with others, helping to develop style as an artist, technique as a vocalist and confidence and insight as a performer, so you can stand alongside the best. Whether your goal is to perform professionally, prepare for an audition, work through grades, or you would just love to sing, I can help you achieve your goal in a natural, fun and inspiring way!
I began teaching in 2005 and as well as teaching privately I also teach in secondary schools in and around Nottinghamshire coaching vocalists from small groups and one-on-one, up to full choirs. I work on all aspects of singing and performance techniques, with pupils of all abilities.
I will help you explore and develop your own voice at your own pace in a safe, supportive, respectful environment. Learn skills such as; correct breathing, projection, voice control, expression, dynamics, improvisation, audition preparation, increased range, improved tone production and quality, microphone technique and how to overcome vocal obstacles. Working on a wide variety of genres and vocal styles based around the needs of each individual pupil, I aim to draw your best possible vocal to the surface.

"The ceremony was supported by Tashaka (Craig Baumber on piano giving background vocals)… and I was doing reasonably ok until she started singing. Then I turned into a jibbering wreck." - Chris Giles Photograpy.
"My 14 year old daughter had her first lesson with Tashaka last week and absolutely loved her .. As do I.
Tashaka is lively, fun, and got my daughter straight away. She also knows her stuff and gave my daughter loads of positive feedback. Looking forward to seeing her again and to watch how my daughter grows under her very experienced wings!!" Karen M
"I feel I have learned so much from her, and I come away from every lesson feeling more and more confident in my voice and what I'm capable of. She is a real gem, and I look forward to every session I have with her. She critiques very well, which is what I feel I need from a tutor, but I never feel put down by her. Such an inspiring person to work with! Super kind but critical, which is exactly what I need to improve! I could not recommend her more. She's absolutely fantastic and helps you utilise your strengths, not just improve on your weaknesses. I love every lesson we have She is well worth seeing, and I can't wait to learn more from her :)" Aleena W
"I am so glad I choose her after a long time of deciding. I learned so much in just that one lesson. I know there's some cheaper singing teachers out there but you get what you pay for and honest it was worth every penny and was the best money I've ever spent on a singing teacher. She's well experienced, very honest and a really nice women and I promise you won't ever regret it. And I'm going to carry on having lessons with her once every fortnight. :))" Rachel H

"I had singing lessons at school for 4 years with Tashaka and have made an enormous improvement, not only in my voice, but in confidence and self-belief, through Tashaka's constant support and encouragement. My singing lessons have brought out an individual style which I have developed through song choice and styles that Tashaka feels suit me best. I never feel I am not 'being myself'. Working with Tashaka has inspired me to live my dream, as her support and help have given me a lot of confidence. I would recommend Tashaka's singing lessons to anybody who wants to improve vocally and grow as a performer - A truly amazing singing teacher!" - Rebecca Smith (17)
'Tashaka is a great teacher, her teaching style works not only on vocal technique but building confidence too. T is very friendly and approachable and instantly makes you feel comfortable enough to sing in front of her. T has helped me so so much and I feel my singing and confidence have improved due to her lessons. So thankyou T!! xxx" - Anna Eason
"T's lessons are not just brilliant at building on your voice, but they are brilliant at boosting your confidence. I felt that things were explained in a way I'd understand and after time you gain your own understanding of what you're doing wrong and gain an understanding of how to put it right, or reach that big note. I like how I was pushed to try new things and new songs, and to bring more feeling, texture and tone to my songs. I always enjoyed going to the lessons as they're a great laugh and good fun as well. Dan" - Daniel Spendlow
"Tashaka has taught me since the age of 14 and I have progressed so much with her help. Her lessons are fun and I have learned a lot of techniques that I can use myself to practice in my own time. I have also had more experience in performing with The Magnus Choir and doing other singing concerts. Without Tashaka's help, I wouldn't have been able to do this! Thanks T!" - Rachel Percy
